Christmas Joy

A new Christmas Carol I wrote both the words and music to.
The words are posted below and are worth reading before listening to the
piece. Also fluteman72 has made a fantastic arrangement you simply

12-12-2016 I changed the flute part to harmonize with the melody rather
than repeat the melody. and also changed the sound of the guitar to a
harp sound.

Christmas Joy, sing it clear,
Christ was born as a baby,
Hearts are warm, Love is near
God was born as a child.
I wish you could have seen his tiny little fingers
And heard the softest baby sounds he made.
I wish you'd seen the sight, how the stars shone bright that night,
When the maker of all worlds became a babe.
Christmas Joy, sing it clear
Christ was born as a baby.
Hearts are full, Child so dear,
Christmas Joy is a child.
I wish you could have heard the Angel's joyful singing,
A song they'd practiced oh, so very long.
First a glorious Chorus, then a gentle lullaby
For the maker of all Joy become a babe.

I wish you could have smelled the sweet-cut hay and seen
His mother hold him gently in her arms.

This is great. It's really awesome you got it played live! I've been trying for years to compose a good Christmas work, maybe one day I'll complete one. Very very good on form btw, the repeat was spot on and everything.

Thanks, Arthur. It looks like I may have it performed at our cathedral Christmas Eve, and if so, I will be able to replace the sound source with an actual recording!!!

The image of greatests values which are gathered in fragile and helpless small baby's body lead to deep and really meaningful idea that everything beautiful and good is unlimited and at the same time it is very easy - to ruin everything... We should care of childs inside us to not get lost on our way to deepper and wider understanding of the World and love as basic elemet of the creative potential of human being.
